TELEHEALTH

We want to ensure that our patients still have access to the care of our doctors even if they are unable to attend the practice in person. To facilitate this telehealth consultations will be available for all patients who have visited the practice for a face-to-face consult in the last 12 months. To protect both patients and staff, face-to-face appointments may not be available for patients experiencing Covid-19 related symptoms until it is determined safe to attend via a telehealth consult. This is a requirement under our COVID-19 National Health Plan and is in accordance with the latest National recommendations. .

Telehealth bookings may be made via Hotdoc or via the ‘Book An Appointment’ button on our website, allowing you to select the date, time, and doctor of your choosing.

Telehealth allows patients to access medical care from the comfort of their homes, without the need to travel and wait at our clinics. When booking a telehealth consult, please confirm that the phone number you have given is correct. We request that our patients be accessible via phone at least 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment time, as well as for the duration of the consultation. Please note that consultation times may vary depending on individual healthcare needs and circumstances.

Our doctors may run late due to delayed consultation times, sometimes by 30 minutes or even more. For this reason, we request that patients remain accessible by phone for at least 30 minutes after their scheduled consultation time. When your appointment is due to commence, the doctor will try and call the patient twice. If our doctor cannot reach the patient, we request that the appointment be rescheduled by the patient themselves.

Should any referrals, prescriptions, or pathology requests be issued, patients are welcome to pick these up from our practices during business hours. Our medical clinics, pathology labs, pharmacies, and allied health services continue to operate on opening hours, as mentioned on our website.

Please note that our practice is unable to mail or email any confidential documents, as your privacy is of the utmost importance to us.

For any further questions or details about our telehealth services, please phone our friendly staff at one of our clinics during business hours.

Please be aware that according to Medicare guidelines, Telehealth services is not permitted when patients are away overseas. If during the consultation we determine that the patient is overseas, we will not proceed with the consultation any longer.
